Latest sounds from the subterranean sensations Chick-Pea. Just click on a photo to hear an excerpt:
Me and the We-Tree are ridiculously happy to bring you this secret scoop of chocolate chip nonsense. Yes, using our budding Seal Division (namely our pet seal Zeitgeist), in conjunction with a rope, some butter and a handy ventilation shaft, w´'ve managed to infiltrate the notoriously tight obscurity bound around the infamous Chick-Pea. This band have been subtly avoiding the lime-light, yet courting the murky world of journalism, with their deft touring stunts (who could forget the Invade the Falkland Isles concerts?) and tendency to sing in dead languages. However, thanks to the dynamic actions of of our domestic journalism team we can now bring you these brief excerpts of their new potential tune: "Burn", as well as shock reworkings of the old favourite: "Yes No I Don't Know"

We catch them in pensive mood after an unnamed band member has burnt that evening's supper of lentil-husk pancakes. The images we've got from the seal-cam aren't that clear (you can only fit so-much hippy technology onto a seal), but it seems the band members have swapped instruments to explore their angst and generally take this piss out of eachother. The sound quality is also somewhat low, so we've unfortunately lost some of the plaintive introspective quality which the kitchen acoustics bring to these thoughtful voyages.

The band spontaneously combust into this first version of Burn

A slightly bouncier rendition is brought on by memories of shared rice cakes

However, things soon degenerate, or regenerate if you like...

Some parrot impressions soon change the flavour...

Then the parrots replicate, and seem to cause havok in the baboon enclosure...

The baboons drum the parrots out of town, or something...

The singer gives his opinion on a stumbling intro...

Everything gets all groany...

The singer still doesn't approve...

no know

And things shamble to a close
